We Bring the Studio to You

A hands-on glazing session for your people — in your backyard, your rental, your business. You paint. We fire. Everyone ends up with something they painted.

Our signature product

Every guest gets a cup thrown by hand in Durango. You bring the people. I bring the glazes, the brushes, and enough patience for the ones who insist they aren't creative. (They always are. That's the fun part.)

Two hours later, everyone has made something. Three weeks later, they're drinking coffee out of it.

How It Works

1 · Tell me your date. Fill out the form below — date, headcount, where you'll be. I'll confirm within two business days.

2 · We settle the details. Glaze palette, timing, whether you want me to match your colors. A 50% deposit holds the date.

3 · I show up and set up. 45 minutes before your guests arrive. Tables covered, cups laid out, everything ready. You don't lift a thing.

4 · Everyone glazes. About two hours, relaxed, no experience needed. Eat, drink, wander off, come back — it's your party.

5 · I take everything home. Cups get fired in my kiln over the next 3-4 weeks, then they're ready for pickup in Durango or shipped to you.

NO SPACE? NO PROBLEM.

You don't need a studio — you need a table and a sink. A backyard, a rental kitchen, a conference room, a patio all work.

If you'd rather not host at all, I work with [several venues around Durango] who are happy to have you. Tell me on the form and I'll make an introduction.

What I need from you: table seating for your guests, access to water, and a spot to park nearby. That's the whole list.

Questions

How far ahead should I book?

Four to six weeks is comfortable. Summer weekends and December go fast. Reach out earlier for those.

How long does the workshop last?

About two hours of glazing, plus my setup and breakdown. Most groups make an afternoon of it.

Do we need to know anything about ceramics?

No. Most guests have never touched a glaze. You will be painting with underglaze which is like painting with normal paint. I will also provide instruction so there are no questions.

When do we get our finished cups?

Roughly three weeks. Glaze firing takes time and a kiln full of cups can't be rushed. They're food-safe, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-safe when they come back.

What if our headcount changes?

Final count is due 2.5 weeks before your event. Add guests up to that point for $70 each.
